Yu Hao is an assistant professor in Economics at School of Economics, Peking University. He earned his BA in Economics from Peking University and earned his PhD in Economics from UC Davis. His research interests include quantitative economic and social history, development economics and political economy. His research using surname to estimate long-term social mobility in China (and Taiwan) is funded by EHA dissertation fellowship and National Science foundation in US. His works are published in Explorations in Economic History and forthcoming in Australian Economic History review.
